A magnificent example of historical "conversion" jewellery. This ring features an authentic Georgian-era diamond cluster, circa 1800, seamlessly mounted onto a later 18ct yellow gold band. The head is crafted in the traditional Georgian style: Old Mine cut diamonds set in a silver-topped, closed-back gold mount.
The central diamond is an impressive 0.75ct (SI1 clarity, L/M colour), surrounded by a halo of ten further old-cut diamonds totaling approximately 0.60ct. These stones exhibit the unique "hand-cut" character and extraordinary fire that define 18th-century diamonds. This piece bridges two centuries of British craftsmanship, offering the unmatched allure of a Georgian antique with the durability of a modern ring.
