A landmark 400th item for our collection, this is a quintessential Late Victorian "Bridge" ring, circa 1900. Crafted in rich 18ct yellow gold, the ring features three vibrant cabochon opals with a total weight of approximately 0.75ct. These opals exhibit a classic "milky" play-of-colour, with shimmering flashes of electric blue and green.
Interspersed between the opals are four sparkling diamonds totaling 0.15ct, set into the carved "bridge" gallery. The shoulders feature traditional reeded detailing that tapers elegantly into a smooth 18ct band. This style of ring was famously favoured as a romantic gift or a "half-hoop" engagement ring during the transition from the Victorian to the Edwardian era. A perfectly preserved piece of British jewellery heritage.
