fine Victorian bloodstone signet ring, beautifully engraved with a bird crest in intaglio. Crafted in solid 18ct yellow gold, the ring features elegant floral scroll engraving across the shoulders and shank, showcasing exquisite hand-chasing typical of English goldsmiths of the late 19th century.
The bloodstone, or heliotrope, displays deep green tones with vibrant red inclusions. Its smooth oval surface bears an expertly carved bird standing upon a branch — likely a heraldic family crest.
Although the hallmarks are rubbed, traces indicate an English origin, likely Birmingham or London, circa 1880. The ring’s weight and craftsmanship are substantial, reflecting both artistry and durability.
