A rare and striking Edwardian navette ring, hallmarked Chester, 1906. This 18ct yellow gold ring centers a vibrant marquise-cut amethyst of approximately 1.50ct, framed by a double-row "carpet" of sixteen bright turquoise cabochons.
The bold contrast between the royal purple of the amethyst and the vivid "sleeping beauty" blue of the turquoise creates a sharp, architectural look that is quintessential Edwardian. The ring features a sturdy 18ct gold band with ornate bifurcated shoulders and a full set of crisp hallmarks from the prestigious (and now defunct) Chester Assay Office. A substantial and colourful antique statement piece with deep sentimental history.
