A charming and rare Art Deco novelty pendant, c.1925, finely crafted in platinum and 15ct yellow gold. This figural pendant depicts a proud cockerel, with its body and tail feathers entirely pavé-set with shimmering rose-cut diamonds.
The use of a platinum face—a hallmark of high-end Art Deco design—provides a crisp, white background that maximizes the fire of the diamonds. The cockerel is finished with a single, vibrant ruby eye, adding a spirited flash of colour. Suspended from a 15ct yellow gold bail, this piece is an exceptional example of Jazz Age whimsey and superior bench-work.
