A pretty Victorian turquoise ring in 18ct yellow gold, the head set across the finger in an elegant elongated panel. At the centre, a small old-cut diamond is framed by a flowerhead of cabochon turquoise, while the scrolled shoulders are each further set with graduated turquoise cabochons that taper gracefully to points — a generous, characterful spread of colour for so slender a ring.
Turquoise was among the most beloved of Victorian stones, treasured for its association with forget-me-nots and steadfast love, which made rings like this popular tokens of affection. The turquoise retains a lovely soft blue, and the ring shows the honest, gentle wear you'd hope to see on a jewel worn and loved for well over a century.
